You have a lot more options in step lights lately when you go with low voltage. These look okay, came from Home Depot, hit your price point, and seem reasonably well made for the money spent to me:
I have normally gone with Progress "brick lights", but a lot of people are wanting a lot of step lights in decks lately. I normally don't like much from HD, but the step lights in my picture really aren't that bad.Marc beat me to it..... Big Blue or Big Orange.
oooooh... that changes my opinion. For installation in concrete placements and masonry, I'd really try to push you into some decent one's made for that duty.those brick lights are what I want, but theyre way too expensive. I guess im going to have to go LV, was trying to avoid it but the cost for the line voltage ones is too high. These will be going in poured concrete.
anyone have any suggestions for a low cost line voltage wet location step light? Everything I have found seems to be $50 and up, I need something with a retail max of around $20. Im looking for something around the size of a single gang plate, louvered style.

I can almost see their foundry from my house.Hadco is not low cost, but they are very high quality.
the last ones i got were from halo, and about $80 each, with trim.... 110 volt.
A 110 volt model? All the ones I've seen are 120 volts.
yeah, they are imported from bulgaria.... i use them with 125 vac lamps,
and it balances out....
randy
I use 240 volt lamps in 110 volt "luminaires" for extra long lamp life, just like the fire station near you.
Do you get to double the recomended wattage then???
