hello everybody, I have a doubt over a 100kVA - 480V transformer protection.
This transformer has a short circuit level of 7kA. I have been reading that this kind of transformers (low power transformers) are protected occasionally by fuses for high short circuits levels (around 70kA). I have already design this transformer to be protected by termomagnetic interruptors. Is it wrong?? Do they need to be protected only by fuses?? or is it the combination of both types of protections?
Does anybody know any reference that says something about this??
Thanks.
