low mounted exit signs

Hi, new to this forum. I am a Fire Alarm/security contractor in OH, and have a customer (hotel) with low mounted exit signs. My question is; some of the signs have a clear plastic or lexan light plate that has horizontal strips which are red when lit. Since i am unfamiliar with this type of light, and their maint. personnel are asking me, can anyone help me out with the name of this type of light, and the manufacturer for replacement parts?
