I am not having any luck at all finding thermocouple jacks that are rated to -45 C. Any body ever use, or know of, any that are rated to -45 C?

I've checked with OMEGA, and they only go down to -29 C.

Still no luck here. Seems like everything else I find is just rebranded Omega brand. There has to be a T/C jack out there somewhere that is rated to -45 C. Seems like all the focus is on the high end of the temperature scale, and not the extreme low end.

Do your connectors need to be connected and disconnected at low temperatures, or simply remain connected at low temperatures? Many plastics become brittle at low temperatures but are fine for _static_ use (think low temperature limits for installing NM cable).

Do you have _cables_ that are suitable for the low temperatures? If your connectors work but your cables fall apart then you still have a problem.

Not a cheap option, but mil spec '38999' connectors (MIL-DTL-38999) are often rated to -65C or lower, and have available thermocouple contacts.

Have you contacted Watlow ( http://www.watlow.com ) to ask if they have suitable connectors; their online documentation only lists the upper temperature limits, but they probably know the low temperature limits. They have ceramic connectors that are probably fine down to cryogenic temperatures.
