Low-voltage cable in pullbox & general question

Hello. I was wondering if the pullbox sizing regulations for angle pulls (depth of box must equal 6 times nominal diameter of largest conduit plus sum of all other conduits' diameters) applies to conduits containing low-voltage cables (e.g. CAT-6, 4 pair #16 AWG) all being used for security equipment.

I'm relatively new to industry, and everyone tells me NEC does not apply to 50V and lower but I can't seem to find that note anywhere. In fact, I see certain areas in the code that specify that certain aspects of the code (such as conduit fill) don't apply to communications cables.

Help much appreciated.

The NEC does apply to "low voltage". Take a look at Article 411, 725, 760, 770 and all of Chapter 8. There is some relief in regards to wire size, securing and support and other items we normally are required to follow for larger voltages, otherwise we do reference the NEC for such installations.

Agreed, and I would like to add that if you look at 90.3 this section will give you some insight into how the code is arranged.

Chapter 8 wiring is not subject to chapters 1 through 7 unless specifically referenced in Chapter 8.

Keep in mind that there are different wire bending radius' for different LV wires. Some LV cabling, like fiber, require a very large bending radius and you will need to take that into account when dealing with LB and/or box sizing.
