Low voltage cable lights

I have a customer that has several strings of low voltage cable lights. Someone installed them years ago with a 300 watt 12V transformers to use 50 watt halogen lamps. You would really only want about 5 ea. of these lamps (250 watts load) for a maximum life of a transformer.

As they go bad my idea would be to replace these lamps with LED replacements ( about 3-5 watts load ea.). Could even use smaller replacement transformers as they go bad or if they go bad.

My Question: I can't see a down side to this replacement other than reading some of the customer reviews of this change saying they experience "some" electronic interference.

Has anyone herd of these MR16 LED lamps causing electronic interference. The area where these lamps would be used is the reception area of a law office and they really love the lights they have had for years. But I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want to have any problems with their computers.

I actually think that any electronic type problems that people have had is probably caused by the dimmers and not the lamps. These lamps will not be dimmed so that should reduce chances of any problems.

If anyone knows of any problems associated with changing over to 12V LED lamps I would appreciate hearing about them.
