Low voltage cable supported of conduit?

Can I use existing conduit to support a low voltage cable even if it's associated with the same equipment. In this case it's a light fixture that has been retrofitted to be controlled by a low voltage cable external to the power wiring.

Take a look at 300.11(C)(2). Depending on the control circuit, that may permit what you want to do.
