Low voltage dimmers

I have a customer who is requesting that the 120 volt island lights and the low voltage 12v 4 inch recesed lights be on the same dimmer. It doesn't sound right to me and I think we discussed it here before but I don't remember the outcome. My question is ...is it safe to do it that way? As always Thx

Yes-- I have done this before , but you have to use a LV dimmer.
They may not dim exactly the same but heck.. Lutron has an 800 number for tech support. Call them--- lutron.com
There are 2 kinds: magnetic or electronic. If the transformer is magnetic your lucky--- they are cheaper.
