I need to add some low voltage lighting around a man made lake and can not find how far the low voltage lighting must be from the lake.
Is 411.4 (B) the only thing that is close to talking about low voltage lighting next to a lake.
10' from the waters edge.
I do not see 680 talking about low voltage light next to a lake.

We have done similar jobs (with others responsible for checking code compliance) and if it is under 18volts (at least in the city's we have been working) it can be as close as you want, provided the fixture is rated for the environment. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong

The fixtures will be 30 volts.
Just saw your location. I can tell you that last time we tried, Reedy Creek would not allow fixtures over 18v to be placed within 6' of the water if there is a reasonable likely hood that there will be people in contact with the lake. Not sure if the same holds true in Orlando.

There are no restrictions in Art 682, of which I would think that other than local laws would be the Article to first reference. I do not see any restrictions in Art 410.
So, I defer to 2 items:
1. When the code is silent on an issue, it is generally means there is no restriction.
2. 110.3(B) - refer to the installation instructions, or better yet, call/email the manufacturer for their ideas.

As I see it, there are fountains and other lights IN THE LAKE water, what would be the reason for restrictions as to how close to the water?
