Can someone please help me find low voltage led deck lighting that is UL listed to be installed within 10 feet of a swimming pool? Links to products will help thanks !

I don’t think it’s the fixtures themselves that require the listing. I believe the power supply requires listing for swimming pools. If I remember correctly it’s an isolation type with a grounded metal barrier between the primary and secondary.

680.22(B)(6) requires both the luminaire and the power supply to be listed for the use.
(6) Low-Voltage Luminaires. Listed low-voltage luminaires not requiring grounding, not exceeding the low-voltage contact limit, and supplied by listed transformers or power supplies that comply with 680.23(A)(2) shall be permitted to be located less than 1.5 m (5 ft) from the inside walls of the pool.
It appears that the code needs some additional work in this area. I don't see any specific provision that even permits lights to be installed in a pool deck.

What’s the requirement for low voltage from 5-10 feet from pool wall ?

680.22(B)(6) says a listed low-voltage luminaire can be installed within 5’ of a pool if it complies with 680.23(A)(2), which says it must be “listed, labeled, and identified for pool/spa use”.

So it seems to me outside of 5’ it doesn’t have to be specifically listed for pool use.

Anyway, you could use the Hydrel light listed above, or could you possibly just use a Pentair niche & LED installed in the deck? They’re already listed for pool use.

What about if my low voltage deck post light is over 5 feet away ? Can it just be a regular UL listed deck post light ?
