We build 12 volt DC lighting systems that are stand alone solar charged. We use certified components either UL or CTL etc. We recently provided a system for a remote restroom. The local electrical inspector wants our control box that contains charge controller, DC circuit breakers, terminal block and battery etc. UL certified for our factory wiring these components. I have researched the NEC Article 411.2 on low voltage lighting and it specifies 30 volt or less DC that uses a class 2 power supply. I can't find anything related to our system.

Can you help me.

Thanks,
Stan

The voltage has no relationship to a listing requirement. And low voltage does not mean no fire hazard. How does your system limit the energy to compy with Art 410 and 725? If your product was listed by UL or other, then the inspector only needs to look at the field wiring. Otherwise he doesn't know.
In Washington, we could get an engineering evaluation and the AHJ would accept that. You may be able to get a field evaluation from UL.
