low voltage lighting

My question is, in determining the number of low volt fixtures, one can put on a circuit, I would base this of of the primary side , am I correct in my thinking?

My next question would be.. If I am in a restaurant then more than likely the lighting circuits would be considered a continuous load. So with an available 16 amps on a 20a breaker I would now have to divide by 1.25 leaving an available 12.8 amps, am I correct in my thinking on this?

Just trying to confirm my thinking.

Thanks

Do you mean fixtures with their own integral LV transformer or a remote transformer system?

No, that would be doing the same thing twice. 16 a cont. on a 20a circuit is your number.
