low voltage plenum cable support

I know you can't attach LV cable to conduit's but what about insulated water lines to which the cable serves? Or to the all-thread that support's the water lines?

The rule I've always gone by (wrt MC etc) is we don't attach our stuff to any thing that we didn't install to attach our stuff to; or to the the equipment it terminates into. Simple. PITA, but simple.

For LV I'll bend the rules and attach to pretty much anything available to attach to that **isn't** being used to support *another* trades work excepting the ceiling support wires themselves (and excepting job specs that *specifically* say no to that).

Clear as mud? ;)

(the Hilti bang sticks work best)

Thanks for your input , I agree and usually follow the same rule of thumb. Funny you say design build .......I have heard that so much on this job I could puke ! We are a third tier sub under the M print's .... I finally found spec's for DIV.27 ....telecommunications .....??? Which is where they seem to be working there "magic" from (some sort of vodou) but not our DIV. Anyway were GOOD ...I did find a couple places my guy's tried to pull a slick willy !! Thank's again

I am currently working on a" Davis Bacon " job. This is for the Deparment of Corrections of Missouri. I am seeing some of the most outrageous electrical work being done in my entire 25 year's of electrical construction. I have taken pictures and documented as much as I can and have given everything to everyone I can think of . The "jury" is still out if this GC and Inspection Department is actually going to do anything about it ? My friend's I am not exaggerating when I say this is absolute disregard for safety and or codes let alone pride in workmanship.
How can I post pictures here so I can help my fellow tax paying citizens get this "trainwreck" stopped and put on the right track ? Believe Me !! When you see these photo's you will not believe that this building recieved "NO" electrical punch list ! NOTHING !! Please help me out ....what is happening here is just "Blaten Disregard" to the NEC . In all my time it's the "worst" electrical work I have ever seen !!
Please Help My Cause
