Low Voltage TRX

We recently installed a low voltage system for some track lighting. Question is, the TRX is fed with a 120 volts 20AMP CKT breaker. they are 600 watt 120 volts to 12 volts TRX feeding an open buss system. The TRX is fed with #10 MC and the track is fed with #10 rough service SO cord.
The local inspector did not allow the track to be fed with #10 rough service SO cord, is this a code violation on the low voltage side? Please see attached.

Not sure. Art. 400.7 allows flexible cords for luminaires however you are wiring the track so 400.8 may apply where you cannot use flex cord as a substitute for fixed wiring.

No, you can't use flexible cordage for fixed wiring. Looks like you could use 10/2 AC cable without any trouble.

Im curious why you didn't use MC to begin with? You already bought the 10-2 MC to feed the transformers, so why buy another material for the load side? And just a guess, the 10-2 on the line side is drastically oversized...

e'rr 600 watt at 12 volts? that is 50 amps not 30??? might want to rethink that #10 on the secondaries, unless the transformer has OCPD for each of those 25 amp runs?

Check out Article 411.2, A 600 watt transformer is actually two 300 watt circuits... I've seen this misunderstood many times when ordering transformers for lighting jobs, end up short on transformers every time.
