How "high" is the high voltage? and what is it you are worried about - noise getting into the telecom cabling from the other conduits?Originally posted by gmack00:
What is the seperation distance that low voltage wiring needs to be from high voltage? in concrete.. OSP... 4 inch Steel conduit.
Well, it unlikely your wiring will need to dissipate much heat so I think the only real issue is whether it might be susceptible to noise being impressed on it from the other conduits. I don't know that i would like either spacing suggested. It seems awful close in either case. I'd opt for as much distance as I could get. I would not wnat to run signal wires that close to higher voltage stuff in parallel for any distance.Originally posted by gmack00:
I have been given 2 options for spacing.. 1.5 inch and 3.. I said 3 but now I need a code or regulation to back that up.
