Is it required to install low voltage wire in conduit in an open warehouse. I know I've seen conduit up to a drop ceiling and then run wire in free air in a plenum ceiling. Can you please provide the code also please. Thanks.

Low Voltage is a generic term and could be anything, for a lineman, 120 volts is low voltage.
What is the "low voltage" used for?

Unless you tell us otherwise, we will also assume that what you call a plenum ceiling space is actually what the NEC refers to as "other environmental air space". That can still require use of plenum rated cable and wire in some cases.

There is no general code requirement for putting fire alarm, security, or network cable in EMT, IMC, GRC, cabel tray, etc. The usual criterion is to protect is from "mechanical damage". That's a judgement call at each work site. It may also be required by the job spec, if there is one.
