That is all based on the listing of the lug. Some are listed for more than one, but not too many.
110.14(A) Terminals.
Connection of conductors to terminal parts shall ensure a thoroughly good connection without damaging the conductors and shall be made by means of pressure connectors (including set-screw type), solder lugs, or splices to flexible leads. Connection by means of wire-binding screws or studs and nuts that have upturned lugs or the equivalent shall be permitted for 10 AWG or smaller conductors.

Terminals for more than one conductor and terminals used to connect aluminum shall be so identified.

I've gotten burned a few times with more then 1 wire on a single barrel lug. Someone told me that you can put 2 wires max on a single lug. True ?
As Don stated probably not for most single hole lugs. The larger ones with the oval hole are often listed for two conductors.

As stated, oval and figure 8 style lugs are listed for more than one conductor but for specific conductor sizes. 1687694310728.png
