I have a garage with a main.
Can I use a load center in the house without a main breaker?
The main in the garage will have protection.

Is the garage attached? If so then you can use a MLO (main lug only) panel in the house. Load center is a generic term for a panel should that be the title of this thread?

There is a small walkway between the house and the garage. I've, installed a 2 inch conduit to interconnect the main panel in the garage to the subpanel.In the house

Sounds like it's a detached garage (house in this case) so it will need a disconnect aka main breaker.
