Lug in 400A trans-s

How many lug in the 400A trans-s cabinet?
I see there is note in 400A trans-s cabinet cutsheet. see picture.
I though it is one big lug up to 600MCM. or 2 small lug up to 250MCM. if it is correct.
Then I think I can have 1 set #1 and 1 set #10 to feed two equipment downstream.
Or I only able to feed one equipment downstream with max 2set 250mcm?
or 2 set for 2 equipment.

Some lugs (commonly on breakers) have an oval shaped opening and are rated for (2) small conductors or (1) large conductor, which is what the specs is addressing. Check with the ATS manufacturer.

The smallest conductor permitted on either of those lugs is 4 AWG.

The lug can only be used for the conductor sizes marked on the lug, so not if the size you want to use is smaller than the smallest marked on the lug.

Splice down. Also, two wires in a single oval hole probably have to be the same size.
