Like all other things, you probably get what you pay for. But at the prices they charge I could lamp and re-lamp a house full of mr16's and par30's for less than what i would pay to just lamp once at what my supply house charges. it would definitely lower a bid price or increase the profit on one. Whats your input?

It might be worth a shot at your house first to make sure you don't look too foolish in front of a customer. They can't be any worse than the bathroom vanity lights I bought at Meijer because my supply house didn't have them - 2 out of three were bad right out of the box. Hard to say whose fault that was, but they were some goofy brand. It would be nice if somebody respectable sold them in this town...

I have been using Ruud lighting fixtures for over 12 years and they are a great product.
They used to come with venture lighting lamps. Those lights looked fine.
But when I ordered from venture myself to do a group replacement, the lamp color was not that good. It was good enough that I did not complain though. Ruud is now using some Luma

The last two times I have used Luma and they have worked great. Brilliant color as judged from my calibrated eye.

Off topic: luma?s open rated 100w metal halide says that the lamp is ED17. Is that a mistake? Because the venture says EDX17. Is the narrow neck a mandatory safety feature that Luma would have to incorporate to meet open rated listing?
