I would like clarification on installing luminare's on a Marina Dock. Art. 411.4b states that nothing is permitted within 10' ft. of water (pool, spa, or hot-tub). And Art. 555 talks about electricity on a Marina, but does not mention anything about luminare's. Art. 555.2 identifies the "Datum Plane", Art. 555.5 refers to transformers, and Art. 555.9 states that "No electricity is allowed below the Datum Line".
So, my questions are:
1.) Can I install low voltage lights on a Marina Dock? And if so, do they have to be above the Datum Line or can I install them straight to the deck?
2.) Or, can I install 120v Line voltage lights, and again do they have to be above the Datum Line?
3.) GFI protection for both, or just the 120v lights?
