Hi guys ,

I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on landscape fixtures. I think Im going to use the VOLT lighting products. Im
curious if anyone had any thoughts or experiences about whether to go with an integrated fixtures or lamp replacement style. I,m aware of the obvious
pros and cons of each. has anyone had alot of failures with the integrated stuff out there?

I don't do a ton of landscape lighting, maybe 2 or 3 jobs per year. I started using integrated fixtures about 4 years ago, various types and wattages, and have not heard of any failures at all. Spots, floods, bollards, wells, etc, usually a good mix on each job.

One things that factors in is nighttime usage when ambient temps are lower

5 years ago I went to troubleshoot some integrated step lights that were cut into composite deck posts. Installed by someone else. There were about a dozen installed, and half were burnt. I think a few of them had water in them, which is kryptonite for and electronics.

With integrated lamps you can specify a beam angle.

I personally prefer integrated as the fixtures are typically more compact.
