Magnesium-Chloride

Magnesium-Chloride has been used for years at our industrial site for dust suppression. It appears to be highly electrical conductive and we are having on-going tracking and failures of electrical equipment that we cannot explain. There are no signs of rodents, water intrusion, etc. Has anyone seen the use of this product adversely affect electrical equipment? Thanks for the help.

Any chloride salt is going to be pretty conductive if you get it into solution. If it's getting sprayed on equipment you may be creating a short circuit pathway. The salt is hygroscopic so it will soak up any moisture in the atmosphere.
