If a 1200A switchboard is full, can wires be tapped from the main bus and ran to a disconnect?

What about twice or three times in the same panel? You can assume the panel has enough space to meet NEC requirements.

(PS: Tapping the bus two or three times isn't something I'd actually do, I'm just wondering if its allowed. And I have seen a panel with two taps.)

As long as the tap rules are followed and there is not more than six main disconnects, it seems OK. If, there is no 1200amp main, load would be a concern.
