Do I need a Main Circuit Breaker on a Distribution Panel when the feeder is to be connected to a 600A circuit breaker integral to the Service rated ATS with and
to 600A circuit breaker integral to Quick Connect Cabinet (for connection to portable generator)?

So the ATS normal and emergency generator power feed the distribution panel? If so what amperage is the panel rated for? If 600 amps or more then a main breaker is not required as it’s already protected upstream from the ATS. So you could use a main lug panel instead of main breaker.

I thought so and yes, main lugs only for the Distribution panel. The distribution panel is rated at 600Amp as well as the ATS and the Quick Connect. Thank you
