I will be replacing an old 4 fuse panel with a 100A Main Breaker panel in a basement with a 6'6" height ceiling. Is there a minimum height for this panel to be mounted. I'm pulling my hair out trying to find this in the code book. A liitle help for the New Year would be greatly appreciated

Maximum height 6'7" you have 6'6" ceiling no way to have a violation.(there is no minimum height in the NEC for this application)

I found 6'7'' I just thought I saw a minimum at one time. Thanks for all the responses.Once again I tend to overthink things at times. I don't think I've ever done 2 services quite the same.

You may have mistaken the min. height of a meter base for the panel. Each POCO has a max. and min. height where NEC only has a max. height for the panel ocp.

It's possible you were reading Art 550 mobile homes. Section 550.11 (A) lists a minimum of 24" from the bottom of the distribution equipment to the floor level.
