I have damaged and loose wires on the main engine ECM. These wires need to be cut back and re terminated. Has anyone terminated a box that looks this?
The wires are stranded 14 gauge. One popped out when I was inspecting it and I pushed it back in and it seems to be holding.

How do you remove the wires that need to be cut back? Is there a release? Just push a small screw driver down next to the wire?

What happens if I remove the allen screw? does the block pull off exposing pins? Is there a special pinning tool?

Oh, and I think that allen screw does allow you to disconnect the connector. Make sure you clean around it first. On an ECM, it'll be hermetically sealed, and it'll be so clean on the inside that you'll always make it dirtier by undoing and re-doing it, even if you clean around it first.

I think I found my answer. The ECM is pinned and the plug is a socket connector. Looks like I need a Cat connector a special crimper.
