Hey Guys........a couple of questions. Am I correct in assuming that a panel in a residential bathroom in a house constructed prior to 1993 is not a violation? What about a panel in a residential bathroom that is behind a framed structure with doors that allow access to the panel? Would that panel be considered in the bathroom?

In the 1990 NEC overcurrent devices were prohibited in bathrooms.

I think that would have to be an AHJ call. But my instinct is to say that if you can only get to the panel by first entering the bathroom, it would be a violation.

Does anyone have a copy if the 1987 NEC? I gave away all my old editions.

Gus (or anyone else), does the 1990 edition show this prohibition as a change to the 1987 NEC?
AS best I can tell in my review it was not prohibited in the '87 Code
