Installing a standby generator for residence. 400 amp service with two 200 amp panels in garage with main breakers. Installing 200 amp service entrance rated transfer switch for one of the panels. Can this switch be place outside next to meter. Code states all service discnonnects to be grouped but can you put the transfer sw. outside since both panels still have main breakers.
