We have a sub-panel with 6 20amp heat circuits what does the main need to be. When does the 125% rule come into play?

You need to know the load of the heater circuits-- Is the panel single phase or 3 phase? The 125% comes into play for each branch circuit that has heat.

For example a 1000 watt heater would calculate to be 1250 watt. (1000 X 125%)
