Main Switch Replacement in older MDP

Not sure this is the right place to look, but......

One of our buildings needs a new main switch and we're having trouble finding out who & where parts for the origional switch could be found, or a replacement switch that will fit in the same space. Maybe, even having a custom switch built.

Below is the tag plate info.

"KAM-LOK SWITCH"? "(with Pressure Contacts)"
Manufactured by:? "The KELEK Company,? Kirkwood,
Mass."
"cat.no.? 3KF5 20ED6"
"AMPS?? 2000"
"VOLTS?? 480"
"POLES??? 3"
"Serial No. 324ED6"

Believed to manufactured around 1973,? installed in a
ARROW-HART MDP.

A direct replacement or custom replacement is our
goal,? 'as soon as possible'.???

I don't expect good news -- so far,? no one can recall
a company name or device name like above.

Thank you for any info/links/experiences. Mark.

Re: Main Switch Replacement in older MDP

Arrow Hart distribution is long gone. It became Crouse Hinds and ultimately Siemens.

Finding parts for something 30+ years old is going to be tough. But with the marriage of the Internet and used electrical dealers, you may luck out.

Re: Main Switch Replacement in older MDP

Thanks for the encouragement. Maybe some will forward links for some of these used electrical equipment dealers or pass on experiences in retrofitting a new switch in older MDP. Mark.

Re: Main Switch Replacement in older MDP

I would ask your supply house. In our area we have a guy who buys old breakers from all the companies. He saved the day many times. Maybe there is someone in your area that does the same. Also try asking your friends that are also in business.

Try google.
Advanced search circuit breaker arrow-hart

Some of the 2nd handers may have one. I found an old GE breaker (1970) same way.
