I don't know that there is a requirement for typical installations other then manufactures instructions.

For example most open bottom switchgear must be installed on a non-combustible surface.

Now if it was emergency or life safety equipment there may well be requirements.

In many cases (other than the emergency system installations mentioned by Iwire), there is not even a requirement that the main switchgear be in a special room of its own. You could have it in the same room as a living room complete with wet bar and large screen TV.

There will be emergency panels and ATS in this room.

Emergency systems do have some requirements, keep in mind that emergency systems are not the same as optional standby systems.

For true emergency systems see 700.9(D) of the NEC.

I did notice your from an area that may well have their own code. You may want to check on that.
