I have a generac GP5500 that is about 10 years old. I want to connect it to my house so I need to make the generator a floating neutral. I want to make sure that these are the 3 wires that need to be connected. They are all white, and they were all connected with the ground. I numbered the white wires 1 2 and 3. I saw someone else's post and their wires were black where mine are white.

We can not advise you on this as there are other factors such as transfer switch. As we are not allowed to assist DIYers per forum rules you will need to contact an electrician to ensure a safe installation.
