Good morning all! I'm pretty familiar with NEC/Home electrical. However I'm starting to tackle a new houseboat I purchased. I'm not as familiar with ABYC. The Houseboat has 50amp 240v shore coming in. Couple of questions below.

1. The shore plug is 3 "pronged". Is the ground on the exterior metal that slides in?

2. The AC panel is a home style panel, metal box, central bus bar with square d breakers. The ground and neutral are not bonded. Can I use this panel? Or must use a paneltronics type

This is a forum on the NEC and the NEC does not apply to boats, and we are unable to assist DIYers in either application. I would caution you before you proceed with doing any work that a mistake on your part could be fatal. Please google for electric shock drowning incidents. Also a mistake on wiring your boat can cause extensive corrosion.
