What section if any prohibits the marking of wires (between 6-14 awg) to identify a ground or neutral, such as black with green electrical tape at the end, or black with white at the end. I'm thinking along the lines of if you have to do a pool pump that's 100 feet away and use have a nice 500 foot roll of black.
Thanks

Re: Marking Wires

Go buy some wire :p , 200.6(A) and 250.119 prohibit using the black for the grounded and grounding conductors in raceways.

Re: Marking Wires

Bob is correct, but I think that he's asking if there is a code article that prohibits the re-identifying of small conductors.

You can't beat that feeling you get when you do an Entire job out of scraps and left over parts you already have in your shop just laying around. :)

Ahhh, it's as if you got the material for free! Gives me that warm fuzzy feeling everytime! :D

Better luck next time Towzzer! ;)
