Master and Journeyman licenses

Question say you have both your Journeyman and Master licenses. Now I know that you have to do a certain amount of hours to keep up with the changes and what not. Now can you count the time that you do for both licenses or do you have to take more classes? Might be a stupid question I was just wondering is all

Your continuing ed class time applies to both licenses. The renewal fee does not however, for that you pay twice. Thank you Massachusetts may I have another!

Works the same here. Each license must be renewed individually, however MOST continuing education units will apply to all licenses held. There are some exceptions for licenses under a speciic scope of wrk that require specialized CEU's.

J-man are not required to take CEU courses here in Florida.

FWIW, In Dade and Broward county in Florida we have to surrender our Journeymans license when we get our Masters

You would think so but ............. not in the great state of taxechusetts. In MA you are required to hold a journeymans license even if you have a masters($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$). A masters only allows you to hire other journeyman, a journeymans allows you to actually do the work. If you only have a masters you can not do any actual work, only run a business.

That's interesting. In Wisconsin (high tax and fees) we have to hold a masters or employ a master to hold a contractors license. But masters can and do still do the work.
