Master electrical license

Hi all,

I have a non technical question, and is more about the use of your electrical master license. I joined a friend's company business by letting him use my license for any electrical work in DC and I will get paid a percentage of the profit, I helped him to bid the jobs and submitted. So far we haven't got any good results or so he says to me. I'm not working full time for him because I already have a full time job. So my question is how could I find out if he has indeed used my license without telling me, or even maybe used it for someone else? or, who would have a record of your license used in electrical permits?.

I would appreciate your input on this situation,

Most everything is on computers these says so if there is a certain jurisdiction where you think a permit may have been pulled useing your license number they can look it up for you without much trouble. If your license number is on a permit in their jurisdiction there will be a record of it. Some areas you can go to the city/county web site and check for information on permits yourself.

Since you let the company use your license I'm not sure what good this information will do you.

If you are to receive a percentage of profits then you need to be able to check out the books and bank statements.
 
In NJ, we have a pressure seal for the permits. is it the same in Virginia? I know of each permit using my license because I stamp everyone myself.
and like the other answer, everything is on computer these days.
 
Do you use your license in your full time job? Here in NJ you can only be the licensee for one company at a time.

I will check with the DC jurisdiction cause that is where my license would have been used. I just want to make sure that this guy is not pulling permits without letting me know and foremost not even get paid.
