I'm taking my masters in the fall.In NY we are on 2017 code. You think I should be using my 2017 code book as opposed to 2020 for studying purposes? I figured if I used my 2017 I would become more efficient with looking up answers.I don't want to get used to 2020 and then use a 2017 day of the test. Thoughts?

I agree, the questions will be based on the 2017 so you must use that for studying purposes otherwise you may be answering the questions incorrectly.

I generally agree with the prior statements but it doesn’t hurt to ask. I do know in some states they actually delay changing the test to a date later than the adoption date. I also know of at least one state that when they get close to their adoption date will give people taking the test an option on which version they wish to test on.

Specific to New York last I knew up there there’s no state mandated license and as a result municipalities and counties may have different rules for licensing snd testing, which makes it important that you check with whoever administers the test.
