That would depend on the licensing rules for the state you are in.

I don't know about the rules for Florida.

No, it will not.
You will probably have to supply the board with an explanation of the circumstances though and may have to appear before them.

To quote the FAQs at DPBR:
Reasons for denial of application:
Criminal history that relates to the practice of electrical contracting.
o If you have criminal history you must disclose it in your application ? it will be up to the Board to determine if it relates to the practice of electrical contracting and if it is sufficient grounds to deny your application.
