I'm starting to aquire all the materials to take the Masters Exam, but what should I focus on
Nec 2002 or 2005?

Texas has not adopted 2005 yet, which is where I live.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Jon

IMHO the 2005 has not been adopted anywhere yet and the authors of the change books have just gotten their books out. Therefore, the current code is generally the 2002 and that is the one that will be used until some time in 2005. At that time the testing agencies will change to the 2005 edition. :D

I agree with Charlie, but be certain that the very first exam that is administered under the 2005 will be loaded with the new code changes. This is one advantage of testing providers. Be sure to contact the test provider to get this information, as in some instances, they won't advertise the exam change until the day you are taking the exam.

In Michigan the test is 33% true and false, 33% find the exact code reference and 34% motor calculations. Practice to be as fast as you can finding code references and practice motor calculations.
