What would the theoretical max voltage be on an industrial always powered fire alarm circuit?

Which class of circuit would it be 1 or 2?

thanks

Your question is too vague.

With the limited info and based on the NEC all I can say is 600 volts, at that voltage it would be class 1.

Re: max alarm voltage

Thanks

It was a question on my industrial electrician test. I have no idea why it would be so vague. At work our Edwards panel runs at 24v dc or 120v ac. It could be 600 volts but why would anyone do that? The manufacturer probably only make sensors up to 120 volts.

Maybe they couldn't come up with a good class I and II circuit question. I guess the anwswer is 600v.
