I have seen several motors that have an "Max KVar" value associated with them reffering to the maximum capacitor kVAR value that can be connected to the motor for p.f. correction. Why is there a limitation to the maximum external value of a capacitor that can be connected to a motor?
Does it have something to do with overexciting the motor?
