Can you put 15A on a NEMA 5-15R that's noncontinuous load?

The 80% requirement only applies if there's more than one receptacle correct?

Thanks but that's a different 80% rule for continuous loads.

There's another 80% rule about max load on receptacles (two or more).

So with just one receptacle (simplex), can you load up to 100% of the receptacle rating (i.e. 15 amps on a 15 amps simplex).

Some would say the 80% rule for non dwelling units limits the number of recps to 13 on a 20 A ckt. Some, like Charlie B says that it only applies for a load calc and there is no limit on recp on a circuit
