A nonmetallic wireway contains unspliced conductors with a total cross sectional area of 19.26 square inches. What is the minimum allowable size of this wireway?

I cannot figure out the formula. But my guess would be 9 X 9

Is this a test questuin and how have you arrived at a 9X9?

try solving for X with your Sq" of fill representing the 20% fill .

Allowable area for a non metallic wireway=20% (of total area)
So, 19.26---------20%
X ----------100%

X=96.3 sq in needed, a 10' x10'.
