I am at a jobsite that involves multiple 4000 amp switchgears 277/480v and are all Temporary power from 2600kva transformers with DLO cables straight to Buss of 4000 amp gear. My question is, because we don't have a main breaker in place for over current protection, does the branch breakers become the mains to the system which then would break the 6 handled rule? FYI, main breakers will be installed when they arrive but due to supply shortages, we do not know when they will be available.

Did someone get AHJ permission for this arrangement?
