Anybody uses MC cable on roofs to avoid use of cable trays? We know the problem of 1/0 minimum size and solaredge needs 6 AWG, so this cable is inside a conductor...

6AWG is the maximun size allowed in inverter ac busbar. So we need 6AWG from solaredge to a AC combiner

Minimum 1/0 in cable tray, we need use conduit. So we are thinking to use MC cable, but I don't know if anybody has used it on flat roofs
