MC Connector

Yes but they're terrible to remove if you have a need to take them back out. Also they're not great if the sparky is drilling the KO's with a hole saw where the hole might be slightly larger than a standard KO.
Why the heck would you drill ko? Wouldn't a concentric ko be there and just punch out?

Many boxes, wireways, and panel enclosures have no factory KO's and are field drilled or punched. We always ordered our panel back boxes, wireways, and screw cover boxes with no knock outs.
Device boxes? So which connector would you rather use? Also, mostly insulated throat?

The snap-in ones are also somewhat useful for things that get moved into place as it allows the cable to rotate a bit - built in ovens, for example.

Side note: large hospital that I retired from did not allow any of these types of connectors including offices, meeting rooms & research buildings.. Never gave us a reason but everyone used steel connectors with lock nuts. It was easier to stock just connectors with lock nuts for threading them into a threaded coupling. And yes you are not suppose to thread any fitting without tapered threads into heavy wall couplings.

I dispute that they are that difficult to remove, if you have experience and a small tweaker screwdriver.
Is the snap in much quicker to install than the one with the locknut.

Yes, but you need the snap in type like the 3810 of the 3810 AST

Yea, I don't really try anymore and just lever out the snap ring. Sometimes I can get it back in the recess and sometimes not.
