cousinles,2 articles on subject,300.15(C) allows cables to be used without a box if a fitting is used to protect the cable from abrasion, and 300.18(A) exception allows short section for protection.

If you are using the 2002 code, no, but if using the 2005 code yes. Look at the xxx.22 sections of the raceway articles. From the 2002 code:
Cables shall be permitted to be installed where such use is permitted by the respective cable articles. The number of cables shall not exceed the allowable percentage fill specified in Table 1, Chapter 9.
Under this rule cables cannot be run in raceways unless specifically permitted in the respective cable article.
Now the 2005 code:
Cables shall be permitted to be installed where such use is not prohibited by the respective cable articles. The number of cables shall not exceed the allowable percentage fill specified in Table 1, Chapter 9.
Now you can put cables in raceways unless the respective cable article says you can't.

bonding of the MC ...

bonding of the MC ...

if the MC is running through the conduit, wouldn't it have to be "Bonded" to the Box/Conduit with some type of fitting ??
