MC - Painted Black

Does anyone have a good way to paint MC before installation. The job we are working on has already sprayed the entire ceiling back, we need to hang 32 fixtures and will be using black jack chain. However, no supply house seems to carry black MC. Any recommendations?

You'll have to get the residue off of it some how. Maybe just wipe it with a rag perhaps , Acetone? Not sure about that.

But I paint almost all my electric stuff with Charcoal grill paint. The inspectors have not had a problem with it.

figure the material and labor cost difference between using MC, cleaning it and painting it or just buying black PVC coated MC.

They certainly don't clean anything off when they spray it in the ceiling.
