Can you actually get those at the store? Or online only? I’ve never seen them in the stores I’ve been in. May be a regional thing.

I think Home Depot you probably have to order them online but most electric wholesale companies have them in stock we call them super screws or Sammy’s the most common sizes are for 1/4 “ or 3/8 rod

Grainger has them they have all different types of applications wood, metal , concrete , dry wall

Fastenal probably has them too. Being mainly commercial, I’m used to beam clamps and steel bar joists. Good to know they have that product for wood.

They also can't be supported by any other system like plumbing, sprinkler or HVAC.
